Product Description

Motorized Passive/Active Exercise Therapy for the Disabled

The EF-300 is the most versatile of the Ex N' Flex machines. Working both lower and upper body, the EF-300 offers many of the same features as the original EF-250 Leg Machine.

The EF-300 is a smaller more compact motorized exercise therapy device which can be utilized on a tabletop for arms and shoulders as well as on the floor for legs. The EF-300 arm component is not recommended for use persons with subluxation or shoulder separation. For this diagnosis we suggest you look at our EF-100 and EF-150 for arm / shoulder therapy. In Passive Mode, the legs or arms are rotated by the electric motor in orbital motion similar to cycling. In Active Mode, you can assist the motor to move the pedals with your own muscles. The special computer processor allows the machine to adapt to your strength capacity. As you do more work the EF-300 senses this and reduces the amount of work the motor does. Then as you tire the machine picks up the difference and continues to move your legs or arms. Wheelchair accessible exercise equipment!

EX N' FLEX Company History:

In 1989, Ex N’ Flex developers Dr. Errol Gray & Vera Ablack were faced with the need to provide regular range of motion therapy to an ailing family member, who had suffered a stroke.

They were able to set up a regular program and recorded her programs development for the five months. At that time, passive exercise studies were difficult to find, they did not know if it would bring any results. The improvements the family member made were positive and promising. This also provided new data on the benefits of passive exercise therapy for individuals with limited or no mobility. Some of these improvements the patient experienced included:

  • More flexibility in her affected leg
  • Improved co-ordination
  • Easier manageability when transferring
  • Increased awareness and improved energy
  • There was even a significant increase in her calf diameter of 2.5 inches

Her physician was really amazed and recommended that they would try it with other individuals at the same Long Term Care Centre. This was the beginning of the next 22 years of development.

Today, Ex N’ Flex Therapy Devices are being used daily in over 450 Long Term Care Centres, Hospitals, Rehabilitation Facilities throughout North America. Also in Schools and homes of individuals. Worldwide, Ex N Flex products are used in the USA, United Kingdom, Europe, China and many other countries.

EX N' Flex continues to be dedicated to provide you with therapeutic medical devices to help maintain and improve customers health and quality of life for people for who have limited mobility. They are safe and secure. Ex N’ Flex, a name you can trust! Serving you with mobility products and wheelchair accessible exercise equipment needs since 1991.
